Time for another 10 on Tuesday! (and seriously...I'm still trying to figure out how to link this up with Roots and Rings but I suppose to figure it out I'd actually have to spend some time trying to figure it out...)

Worry...money woes...general concern
2. What keeps you up at night? (literally)
Um...nothing really, I generally am a pretty sound sleeper. I have even been known to sleep through one (several....) of the hubs asthma attacks.
3. Where do you want to go in life? (figuratively)
I'd like to do big things in life. I just don't really know where I want to go but I do know I want to enjoy the ride.
4. Where do you want to go in life? (literally)
I'd like to travel. The one trip I'd really like to take, more than others, is a road trip from one end of Rt. 66 to the other. And not the 66 by me, the cool one ;)
5. Have you ever bit off more than you could chew? (figuratively)
I guess...well, not really...well, maybe in a way but so far everything's always worked out the way it's supposed to

I'm a big eater. And I mean BIG. One time? I went with some friends to a buffet....and ate 7 plates of food. For real. And if they hadn't made me leave I was going to go back for ice cream.

Sometimes I think so, but sometimes not. I try to remind myself that my life is perfect just the way it is and to not be overly jealous of the things that others have or do.

YES! Our poor grass is non-existent! The builders put seed/hay down before we moved. IN JUNE. And then it rained like a bitch and washed it all away.

Depends on the situation. Sometimes I'm an instigator...but sometimes I run like hell!

Um, yes. I have grown more fond of cooking lately, but I'll always be happy to step aside and let someone else do it for me!

Ten on Tuesday!
1. Growing up, what was one favorite item that you had to have with you at all times?
I had (still have) this feather pillow. You can barely consider it a pillow, but I used to bring it whenever I traveled. It still finds a home on my bed, but I don’t generally sleep with it anymore because it’s really not even close to a pillow anymore…just a fabric case for what used to be fluffy feathers.
2. Being an adult, what is one favorite item that you have to have with you at all times, and what happens if you do not have it with you? Do you lose your sanity or just go back home to get it?
Chapstick. When I go see my brother we can’t take anything in with us (nothing. At all.) and by the time we leave I am DYING for chapstick. Carmex specifically. In the tube, not in the tub that you apply with your finger. Gross.
3. Where is your favorite place to be to just hide away from everything and breathe for a moment?
Hm…I guess home. Outside in the backyard. For now, until I can actually figure my new neighborhood the hell out and have someplace else to go escape.
4. What is your favorite thing about your partner? (If you don’t have a partner, then someone who is very close and will always be in your life)
His personality. He does this thing where he makes sound effects for um…EVERYTHING. Sometimes it can be annoying when he doesn’t actually use his words, but overall it is cute.
5. What is your favorite thing about your job? (If you don’t have a job, then what is your favorite thing that you do during your day?)
The people I work with. Sometimes our work is mega crazy, but having awesome people to work along side makes it all ok!
6. What is your favorite lesson that your parents taught you growing up? Looking back, is it something that you want to use to teach your children when they reach that age?
Responsibility. The ability to do things for myself. I had chores since I was old enough to stay home alone. I am grateful for that, because my husband? Didn’t have that. And he sucks at doing house stuff because his mom had a cleaning service and would do his laundry for him and crap like that. Totally ended up biting ME in the ass because now he’s like incapable of doing it. Even though he is TOTALLY capable he just figures someone else (me) will do it if he doesn’t. Trust in the fact that as soon as our kids are old enough they’ll be cleaning house, dishes, doing laundry, and all that other crap so that their husbands or wives will thank me one day!
7. What is your favorite song, that will always bring a smile to your face and make you think of something happy?
Hmm…this is a hard one. Anything country really will bring a smile to my face. As long as it’s not sad, because who smiles at sad songs? Not I said the fly.
>8. What is your favorite things about being an American? (If you not American, what are you proud of in regards to your country)
Being an American. Having freedoms and liberties. And living in this country.
9. What is your favorite meal that reminds you of being a child?
Tuna casserole. We had it a lot. My dad always just took whatever veggies were left in the fridge, whatever pasta we’d eaten that week, some tuna and some cheese and threw it together. I once had Steve try to make it for me. He failed because he didn’t follow my “recipe” but instead he found one online. And it included cream of mushroom soup. GAG.
10. Name 3 things that other people would say are their favorite thing about you.
I’m a good listener. I’m honest (sometimes too honest for some people, my bad). And also? I’m totally hot. (I feel like someone would totally say that about me)

Ten on Tuesday.
Another trend I’m going to start following on a (hopefully) regular basis. And eventually I’ll figure out how to link my blog back to Roots and Rings…but for now here’s the list –
1. Favorite way to travel (plane, train, automobile, etc.)
Car or Train. I don’t fly well. The whole thing about the airport, the stupid restrictions now…I’d rather just pack up the car or hop on a train to get where I’m going. It limits where we can go, but we aren’t big travelers anyway so it’s not such a big deal.
2. Where’s your favorite place to travel to that you’ve been to?
We loved Atlanta and would love to go back. When it isn’t blistering hot. Plus there were a lot of things we didn’t get to do. We also enjoy cruises, we’d take another one. Someplace warm and tropical. I’m not a huge beach go-er but I enjoy being in beachy places because that usually means warmth and I hate the cold!
3. Where’s the place that you want to go but have never been?
Europe. Anywhere in Europe. (and yeah, imagine that flight…) I’d also like to visit the mid-west. We’ve been to California once, but that’s my west coast experience. Also, I’d like to take a trip down Route 66. Fly to one end, rent a car, drive to the other and fly back. One day…
4. Do you deal with traffic well?
I quit a job because of the commute. It was retarded, highway all the way and total stop and go for no reason. Throw in an accident and walking is faster. I hate traffic. And stupid people. Combine the two. I get all full of road rage.
5. Ever had an emergency while traveling?
I personally have not. But my friend spiral fractured his leg one 4th of July weekend at the lake. Closest hospital like 30 minutes away. Thinking it was no big deal and he’d be casted up and sent home he didn’t bring anything with him to stay. He ended up needing surgery and a to stay a couple days in the hospital. It was a huge mess.
6. Do you have a passport? What countries have you been to?
I do have a passport. Not in my married name though…need to update that. I’ve been on several cruises with stops in Grand Caymans, Mexico (twice), Belize and Rotan Islands. Also to Canada.
7. Are you’ve light packer or do you pack everything but the kitchen sink?
Why not take the kitchen sink too? Yeah I’m that girl. Which is why air travel nowadays with their stupid baggage fees really keep me away from taking it. I’d rather throw it all in the car and have too much stuff than get somewhere far away and not have what I need. Totally took 2 suitcases on our honeymoon AND put stuff in my husbands bag. It’s a good thing he loves me haha.
8. Do you take the fastest route or the road less traveled?
I love road trips. I prefer the road less traveled if we’re not in a hurry, but if we have to be somewhere at a certain time we take the fastest route.
9. Do any activities on the road? (like road games, reading, sleeping, etc. )
It depends, if it’s daylight and there’s scenery I’ll snap a few (ton) pictures. We’ll play road games if we’re on the highway with enough signs to facilitate the alphabet game. I’ve been known to read, play on my iPhone, or with my DS. It all depends on how much time I’ll be in the car on what I pack for it.
10. Use a paper map or GPS?
Depends. We might print directions just in case, but we always use the GPS. There have been a few times where those printed directions came in quite handy because the address was too new for my GPS.
