I'm a serious blog slacker.

I’m blog slacking again. I try not to, but I haven’t really done anything super substantial to really be blog worthy. Although part of my list is to blog about it and that means no matter how small the accomplishment. Basically, I’ve just been lazy. My bad.

What did I do in December?

December went by incredibly fast for me. Steve went to NC to work for about 2 weeks, missing all but the last night of Hanukkah, but I would call him every night so that I could light a candle and he could say the prayer and that way he could still kind of celebrate “with” us.

Before Steve left we went on our date for the month (#1). I really like our date nights. We went to this new diner in Ashburn and had dinner. It was busy, but not super busy for a Friday night which was nice. We had good food and milkshakes!! After dinner we headed out to get a Christmas tree! We were just going to head to the parking lot tree people, but my parents went to Home Depot and got a nice tree for way cheaper than those parking lot people so we went there. We got an awesome tree (and by awesome I mean huge). After that we came home and stood it up so that the branches could fall before I decorated. Then it was just TV and relaxing for the night.

I also sent my brother 2 letters (#7). I sent him pictures of the model home so that he could see what the house is going to look like when it’s done. I told him all the things in the model we weren’t doing and what we were doing instead. I also sent him pictures of the plot (our dirt!) and then after the blizzard we went down there and took some pictures of the dirt covered in snow so I sent him those too. I’m sad he isn’t here so that I can share all this in person, but I’m glad I can send him pictures so that he can see the progress just like everyone else!

I was feeling lucky before Christmas so I played the lotto (#85). Apparently I was not actually lucky because I lost. Bummer. Ah well, there’s always next time!
