Twenty Nine.

With my most recent birthday I turned 29. I didn't take to that all that well. I'm not excited to be 29. I'm excited to be living another year, but I'm just not excited about the number. And the lack of things I've done before this number snuck up on me. AND THAT I'LL BE 30 THIS YEAR! That part is full of the suck. So I'm just going to turn 29 again and pretend that 30 never happened. It worked for my mom until I was way too old for her to actually be 29 so I figure it would work for me for just as long.

Either way, as usual, I enjoyed the hell out of my birthday celebration. We celebrated with friends the weekend before my birthday which was unusual for me because I usually like to celebrate over my birthday weekend but no one was going to be around over Thanksgiving weekend and who am I to pass up the opportunity to drag out my birthday!

We went downtown to dance the night away. And dance we did. And drink. And I enjoyed the company of my friends. It was a really fun night and I'm super grateful for all the friends that came out to join us.

The weekend of my birthday we had family dinner and we went to a local restaurant here. Dinner was great and I'm so glad we'd had the chance to check this place out for dinner (we've only been for brunch, which is also yummy!)

There were also presents! I love presents. But who doesn't!? My parents definitely went all out this year and I couldn't be more grateful!

Sunday, my actual birthday, I woke up, there were MORE presents! Hubby did good! And Steve took me to breakfast. We hit up IHOP and had the most yummy breakfast! It was the perfect way to start my day.

birthday breakfast!

I actually spent the rest of the day decorating the house for Christmas. I love doing that and figured what better way to spend my birthday than to do one of my most favorite things! That and then I got to really, really enjoy having our Christmas decorations up and I keep them up until the first weekend after New Years so I had plenty of time to enjoy them!
