Random Facts, a follow up.

Last week I posted 25 Random Facts about me because I was tagged on Facebook. I still haven't posted them on Facebook, but I really do intend to (I should have added I forget things most of the time to my list). Well, since then I've been tagged a few more times. I can't believe people actually want to know these random things about me. I mean, I know I'm awesome and all but still. HA! I'm kidding.

Ok, the point of today's blog. I stumbled upon this article in Time called Facebook: 25 Things I Didn't Want to Know About You. ( http://www.time.com/time/arts/article/0,8599,1877187,00.html?cnn=yes )

I quite enjoyed this. I mean don't get me wrong I enjoyed making my list and sharing it with others. I love my friends and some of the facts I actually already knew about them, and some of them I didn't but I am glad I know them now. I mean then there are things that just don't come up in regular conversation. For instance, the fact that I'm related to Hans Christian Andersen. Or that I hate feet. But then there are things that if you know me you know. Like I can NOT keep a secret, but if it is something seriously important I can keep it. I'm not sure why I make the distinction like that, but I do. I think most of it is because I kind of like to gossip and so when I hear something good I tell someone else even though I'm not supposed to. And I don't share food. That is just a given. But seriously, look at me. I can't afford to share food. Ha! Really, I'm just selfish and don't really like to share anything.

This article brings up a good point though. People share way to much sometimes. I know I do. Like should I really have told you that I'm selfish? Probably not, but most of you already know it and love me anyway. And some of the things I've read - in this article and on lists on FB - just make you wonder is this person serious? Did they really just share that. Or is this for real, that can't be real. Sometimes people just make you think.

This article was just funny to me so I decided to share it with you all. I hope it at least gives you a little break from work today :)

  2. I meant to tell you that I'm totally on the same boat as you when it comes to secrets. Unless someone specifically says, "Don't tell anyone," well, I'm going to. And yes, it has nothing to do with gossiping, but just liking to have the knowledge about something and sharing it with others :)
