I am thankful for...
...for fall weather. True I love summer best, but fall weather is pretty awesome. and it means that I get to have windows open in the house.
....coming home to a house with open windows and wonderful fall breezes blowing through them.
....wrapping up in blankets. I do this pretty much all year, because in our house with a husband that is hot all the freaking time our house is virtually like an ice box.
...October in general. because that means baseball playoffs. and also? that baseball is almost over. It's not really cause I'm not a fan, it's just that it pretty much consumes our life all year between MLB and Steve's baseball club I enjoy the break!

Thankful Thursday
My favorite :)
It's also my favorite day because it is generally my last day at the office for the week. I usually work from home Friday's because I'm about 100 miles (round trip) from work and I can actually do my job at home. And for that? I am thankful.
And also?
For...
...my dog. I love being greeted by pure happiness every day.
...couch and TV time with the husband.
...a good phone call from my brother, one in which he sounded good and happy (!), after receiving a fairly sad and concerning letter.
...food memories. and having lunch from a restaurant that brings back so many happy meals with a good friend.
what are you thankful for this week? or on a regular basis? it's good to have things to be thankful for.

Thankful Thursday.
I'm thankful for many things every day. I like to focus on the good, because those are the things worth living for.
This week I'm thankful for...
....my husband. it's his birthday today. I'm always thankful for him, but this week? He cleaned our house. ON HIS OWN. Best.husband.ever.
....surprises. and the fact that someone has faith that I'll be able to keep their secrets.
....good neighbors. couldn't have asked for better.
....chocolate pie. what else is there to say?
....starting over. clean slates. forgiveness. letting go and moving forward.

Thankful Thursday.
I follow a couple blogs that do a Thankful Thursday post and I decided I'd like to follow along with that. I'm going to try really hard to remember to do this every week, and some week's I'll forget, but for the most part I think I'll be ok.
This week I am thankful for...
1. My husband. And his ability to remember to get the coffee ready for me so all I have to do is push a button in the morning (since we can NOT figure out how to set it up to auto-start.)
2. Coffee in the morning. Getting up at 5 is rough and coffee makes it better.
3. My drive home. Especially on gorgeous days like today. When it's not too hot and I can drive with the AC off and the windows down. It's an hour one way which gives me plenty of time to think about things that need thinking about. And also, plenty of time to blast my music and sing along at the top of my lungs.
4. My mother-in-law. And her fantastic chicken soup and chicken salad. And that she let me (us) take some home with me (us) after Rosh Hashanah dinner :)
5. Coming home to a sink empty of dishes. Another reason I am thankful for my husband :)
6. Short weeks. How could anyone not love a 4 day work week.
7. Enjoying a nice glass of wine, outside, on a gorgeous day. Which is what I am going to do right now.
Enjoy your Thursday. And remember, be thankful for the little things.
